• For the V2 Group, the driver must be at least 21 years old. For the rest Van categories, the minimum age of the driver must be 25 years old.
• The driver must own a valid credit card, accepted by Hertz for pre-authorization of the amounts related to the guarantee, deposit and payment of rental costs (for non-prepaid reservations). 
• All drivers must hold a valid driving license for at least 1 year. The driving license must be Greek, European (for EU countries) or International (for countries outside the EU). 

No professional license is required for van rental by Hertz.

Only drivers mentioned in the rental agreement are allowed to drive a Hertz Van. (see also “Does Hertz allow Additional Drivers?”)

Yes, you may add an additional driver onto your rental agreement.  This must be done at the time of rental.  The additional driver must present a valid driving licence at time of rent.  You can also add an additional driver onto your rental agreement during your rental.  To do this the driver and the additional driver can visit any Hertz Rental location.  The additional driver must present a valid driving licence and must comply with age restrictions. 

The daily cost is €5 per day plus VAT.

For rentals in Greece, upon pick up of the vehicle, Hertz will preauthorise an amount from the driver's credit card as a deposit for guarantee which will be fully refunded at the end of the rental, provided no other charges arise. Please note that the refund can take up to 14 days, depending on the issuing bank of the credit card. The amount of the deposit varies according to the car group. Specifically:

• V2: €350
• V3, V4: €500
